Dog Run turning to Chicken Coop

Ah yes, Rhode Island Red and White Leghorns were what we had had, plus others like Bantoms and some black chickens that laid green eggs, hehe. Thank you so much.
Oh yes, I forgot about the Easter Eggers, the ones who lay green eggs.....Ive always wanted one but never had one myself.

I have reporposed a dog run into my coop. I have 5 6x6' panels on the side of my shed. I covered it with a heavy duty 16x12' tarp to keep dry. The heavy chain link is nice for keeping critters out. I also have chicken wire on bottom foot of the fencing, for chicks in there and to keep racoons from sticking paws in and grabbing a bird.

Thanks Sumi, looking forward to mingling and getting my pen set up for some feathered additions to my family.

Oh wow, I think I have much work to do, I am just in beginning stages of clearing shrubs etc. that have grown over wire, and need to check posts for rot, may be opening a real can of worms here, hahaha. The dog run was built by previous owner of my property, with posts and chicken wire. I am a bit concerned about birds of prey (eagles, etc) so may need to cover pen with some kind of mesh.
