Dog that will kill chickens?

Basically, you take the dog out to the chickens, put him in a submissive position,, take the chicken out, and every time the dog focuses on the chicken, give him a correction. Repeat until dog is totally calm, relaxed, etc around the chicken. Put chicken near to dog--give corrections as needed to break focus of dog on chicken. It's all about order of the pack. chicken must be above dog--dog must be bottom of pack 'always'. continue to do this until your dog no longer shows any interest/aggression toward chicken.

thank you!!!

Pat, figuring to get a dog in a couple years

He consistently made a ssssssst sound to reprimand & the dog was not allowed to really focus on the chicken, when the chicken was near him & his eyes dilated he would get the sssssssst.....also when he reacted correctly when the chicken was near him he was allowed to smell it (while the trainer was holding)

Right. the sssst is just his way of giving a correction. You can use whatever sound you want/ to give a correction. Personally--I growl. he allowed sniffing as long as there was no threat--if it was just curiosity, that's fine, but when the dog focused or zoned in on the chicken, he got a correction

in addition to all these training methods, if you get a puppy put him in with the adult chickens for a few gentle pecks to the nose to show that the chickens are the leader and he is the low one in the pack
