Hey all, I know it's a chicken blog but I need help. My dog is really sick. He won't eat, and every time he drinks water, he pukes it up with in 6 min. Please, I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow but if anyone has any recommendations for me, I'm willing to hear. Please an thank you from me and nermal(dog).

It could be a bacterial overgrowth in his digestive tract. It could be Parvo. In any case you need to keep him hydrated and keep his vitamin and nutrients up. Or he will just poop, pee and vomit all of it out. Then his metabolism won't be able to reestablish equilibrium and it could crash. That would be real bad.
Here's what you do. Go to your Tractor Supply or feed store and buy a qt. bottle of Beef Nutri-Drench. In this formula it is much cheaper to use than the Pet Nutri-Drops which Bovidr Labs makes for dogs. Not to worry, I checkd with the science techs at Bovidr Labs and they told me it could be used with the same dosage and usage instructions as Pet Nutri-Drops. I know you are worried and rightly so. You can buy a dropper or syringe ( take off the needle) marked in cc's at your feed store or TSC.

Ok, here's why this product is valuable to your dog. the above paper is written by Dr, Dodds herself and explains how to use the Fresh Frozen Plasma to treat Parvo. Your vet will appreciate its science.

I am so sorry about your dog. I have no ideas for you other than maybe some ginger tablets. Ginger stops nausea can help to stop throwing up. I use it on the humans here in the house and even used it on a sick chicken once. 1 pill would suffice for a few hours. 3RiversChick has given you some great advice and some links to look thru. I hope the vet can get him fixed up and back to health soon.
