scat matts work really well,
friend uses one once the dogs get used to it being there you can lay a mouse pad on the couch and they wont go up.

she also only has to point a remote at them and they think its a zap collar.
I am not a fan of either option but for some people they do work,

We used electrical tape on the floor the same way when we had smart dogs. Now I post RoboRaptor or the rainbow vacuum on low/aircleaner mode, or sometimes just turned off. He won't go near either of those.

what you need is a scare-tactic.
i suggest ordering a life-size cardboard cutout of yourself with a disapproving look on your face. get a front and back one that rotates so it will flash him your back hair. are you sure its the dog's hair on the couch?

I think putting out mouse traps (and make sure she doesnt see you do it) will work super. Please don't put rat traps, they can injure. But 5 or 6 mouse traps will irritate her just enough that she shouldnt get up there any more.

My sister had the same problem with her boxer getting on the couch when she went to work. She had several big boxes that she put on the couch then there was no room for him to jump up. The downfall is having a place for the big boxes when they were not needed.

crate

when i leave the room both my dogs head for their crate i will come back from the kitchen and they will both come out of the crate and sit where ever but i will get back up again to go use the lil girls room and they will both go back to their crate,

i will leave the room to go and get my shoes and if they see my shoes in my hand or on my feet they will not come out of their crate cause they know its bed time

it was soooooo easy to train this behavior but you need to train you to do it first remember everytime you leave the room to put them to bed its a pain in the but for you but it works in the long run. i dont even have to shut the door on the crate anymore at night or when i leave (i do just to be on the safe side) but i have woke up in the morning and the crate door is wide open and both dogs in bed
