DW mentioned that maybe Quail would be something to get into. A little research put the brakes on that. After the cost of a permit and regulations ad nauseam here in NJ it was dropped like a dirty shirt. I'm surprised the "state" hasn't seen the opportunity of permitting chicken and duck keepers.

Chickens require permits in cities where ordinances allow them. They're posted at city hall or on the website usually. I'm one of ten families allowed to have chickens because we don't live on the main road and don't have close neighbors but complaints could change that
