someone gave us a great pyr.....he is the sweetest thing in the world and will be getting his shots, neutered and all of that in a week or so but..he has these weird things on his hind legs, its like a claw that just dangles on a flap of skin! what are they?? is he deformed?!
other than that, he is a big baby..he has been following the silkies around and trying to lay down by them..they dont care for it too much though.

"wow, hes not even acting like he is in pain."

Sounds like dew claws. Some breeders/vets remove them, others don't.

ETA: Well, never mind!!! I got distracted before I hit the "Submit" button, and everyone else already told you!

yes, i looked it up and thats exactly what they are..also..do they normally drool so much? its hilarious! this guy is the best dog ever...lovable and smart! i am really happy with him. he is also rather lanky too, not sure if he is underweight, needs to be wormed etc.

he is supposed to be 5 months old..he is all legs though, thats for sure. i just cant believe how outright lovable this guy is though..my other dog took a few days to warm up to us but this guy acts like hes an old friend already. he also for some reason enjoys being outside more than inside...he is out there right now trying to snuggle the silkies yet again!

Oh yeah, totally normal to look a little lanky. Bone comes first, then they add muscle, then add fat.

oh good then.
he is really different, thats for sure..he has an independent nature about him.
