I am just so sorry to hear about your birds. I think the senseless killing that dogs do is the most upsetting of all. I can more easily forgive the hawks and fox that eat them for survival that the dogs that just go on a killing rampage.
I lost two of min this week also. My gate latch needs to be replaced and the wind can blow it open. My babies love to dig in the compost pile and usually run out whenever the gate is opened. My bad but I are gunning for the dang dogs none the less.
Hang in there and start again. I think many of use have had to do that.
