I know the devastation that you feel. Hopefully everyone will recover. Electric fencing is good, I have that, plus aviary netting too. I don’t have LGD’s.I believe it was Coyotes or dogs. They were in their coop for the night. We have our guardian dogs for extra protection but they were in at the time. They alerted me and that is when we ran out and interrupted the attack. My guardians found all the injured birds that were in different areas of our property (predators mist have dropped when the dogs approached. We live in a very populated area but these predators are brave and smart they knew the minute the girls came in. My husband is putting up electric fence around the coop for extra protection when our guardian dogs cant be out. My heart is sick these birds were also pets.

Coyotes thrive in urban areas; like urban hawks they are smart and observant. They manage to live among us very well. We have to live with them, as hunting cannot change their numbers, they adapt their breeding to compensate.
