my neighbor has a dog that has already killed one of my little chicks

and i was woundering how to stop that there not free ranging chickens and i've already confronted the owner of the dog but he still denies it

how to i stop the killing of my chicks with out hurting the dog?

So you are saying the dog is coming in to your yard? If so, the next time you see it there, call the police/sheriff then call your neighbor. Also you could take a picture of the dog in your yard for proof. I am sorry to hear you have already lost a chick
