Dogs

I bought a dog that's never been around chickens before and sometimes mine fly out and every time they do that he'll bark at them and when he's loose he'll chase them does anyone know how to stop him he's 1yr old

I'm sure that someone has managed to accomplish it, but I've never yet been able to break a dog from chasing and killing chickens. Twice I thought I had accomplished it, only to have the dogs kill some chickens when I wasn't around. Many BYC members will tell you (often to their own sorrow), that dogs and chickens generally don't mix well. Perhaps it can be accomplished if you want to pay for a good obedience training school, but otherwise, I would either keep the chickens penned up or the dog penned up.

Thanks but he's a mix of a pit bull,mastiff,and boxer so I don't know I'd that's easy to break

No dog is easy to break from chasing and killing chickens.
