Oh, man, I LOVE my dog. I have three, but two of them are my boyfriend's. I've had this boy since he was a bitty puppy and I <3 him. His name is Kohl and he is a black lab:
He loves to cuddle but wasn't ready to get out of bed yet

Oh, and Kohl is so good with my chickens! He tried chasing them when he was a youngster but firm scoldings easily taught him not to...he's such a people pleaser, though. He'd much rather play fetch
Be warned: I'm about to bombard you all with dog pictures.
This is my dog, Chevy. My fiance and I adopted him at four months old from a rescue, and he is now three and a half years old. The rescue didn't know what breeds were mixed in him, but I personally think he's shepherd/boxer/lab (maybe pit?) or just a regular old Heinz 57. He is hands-down the smartest, friendliest, most well-behaved and loving dog I've ever had.
This is Boomerang, the collie I grew up with. My parents had to have him put down two years ago at the age of 12. It was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with in my life. The second picture is one of the last pictures I have of him, and was the last time he got to play in leaves (which he loved!).
And this little cutie is Rigby. His mother was a purebred GSD, and who knows what the father was (I'm thinking boxer-ish). He was 8wks old when my parents adopted him from the same rescue where I got Chevy. A few days after they got him, however, he came down with a horrible case of parvovirus, and had to spend four nights at the vet's on IV fluids, and nearly died. However, the little guy pulled through, and now, at five months, is quite a bundle of energy!
