Doin' stuff with eggs!

Jade is exactly what I was going for. :) Polymer clay lends itself well to making faux semiprecious stones.

Very nice. I've done some polymer clay eggs in the past and would like to eventually do more.

I've also done some vinegar etching but my favorite decorating is Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs) which are decorated using aniline dyes.

Check out my website (link below) for some pictures of them and my animals :)

Here's a few more eggs, and I'm working on some with a chicken theme. ^_^

This one was a gift for a friend's mother who wasn't feeling well.

This one was a commissioned piece, the patterns are completely random but I think it looks like a condor right there.

Don't be discouraged! There's something out there for every level! For instance, you could just cover the egg in clay and then use a rubber stamp to decorate it. :)

The dragon was incredibly frustrating, because about 3/4 of the way through making it, I broke my left arm right by the wrist from slipping and falling on ice. >;( Oh man I was mad, but when I was able to use my arm a few months after surgery, I think it helped it to heal nice and strong by playing with the clay. So there, health benefits to working with polymer clay, people! It's good for you! ;)

Hey I'm not knocking cooking, you'd be surprised at how much overlap there can be. For instance, I got irritated that there's no decent horse cookie cutters out there, so I made one myself!
