Dominant Roo killed, other Roo....What up?

One of my EE and our awesome Australorp were killed by a hawk the other day. We have one other Roo, a beautiful Barred Rock. He and the Aust used to square off when they were growing up but it was clear the Aust was the dominant one. Now that he is gone, will this one realize it and take over the role? He has not crowed once that I can remember, (which ain't a bad thing really lol). He is a Roo for sure. Will he ever crow or are there some that simply do not?

Had one just like that, that didn't crow til the Alpha roo was gone, Now that he's the main rooster he crows all the time... here I thought I was going to have a crowless roo.
