Dominant rooster??

Hi there!

I'm just wondering if someone can help me figure out which one of my roos is the dom. We have five silkies, two of which are roos and the first ones we got. They are brothers, Cedric and Shinobi. Since we got our girls, I've been having a hard time figuring out who's the boss, as they both display behaviours of being the dom. Is it possible to have two doms? They crow at the same time. When we let them out in the morning, Cedric will chase Shinobi around and peck him a little. However Shinobi is the one who mates with the girls most, Cedric doesn't seem to mind and also mates, just not as much. They are best friends and barely leave each other's side. Any suggestions??

Most reliable way for me to asses rank is to watch them come off the roost in the morning. That is time the linear pecking order will be displayed. The dominant bird will chase everyone else briefly as they come of the roost. He will also peck them and they will all give a sound indicating submission.
