Dominant White Breeds with Pea combs?

Quick question - and I'm researching this now- but was wondering if anyone is familiar with a breed of chicken that is available in dominant white but also has a pea comb (other then Ameraucana's), perfectly acceptable for them to also have beard and muffs but not necessary.

If you think of breed please let me know.

I am researching Ermine Ameraucana's right now and how they could be bred alternative to just plugging into the project lines already available. I am growing out birds now from these lines and am really more curious then anything, but am looking for possible breeds that could be compatible for breeding in dominant white and creating a new line of Ermines with different blood then what is currently available. I think some Whiting True Blues have Dominant White, and they definitely have pea combs. Some of the other Easter Egger types may also have Dominant White.

Other than that, you could just use a breed with Dominant White (example: White Leghorn, or any of the Red Sexlinks that have white tails), and breed with Ameraucanas to get the pea combs.

If you are trying to make Ermine Ameraucanas, you will need the pea comb to be linked with the blue egg gene. That pretty much limits you to Araucana, Ameraucana, and various Easter Egger types.

White Laced Red Cornish should have Dominant White and pea combs, but you probably do NOT want to use them, because their pea comb gene is linked with the not-blue egg gene.

Edit to add: it would probably be easier to start with existing Ermine Ameraucanas, and widen their gene pool with repeated crossing to Black Ameraucanas. That would avoid bringing in other genes that you would have to breed out (different body shape, possibly wrong comb type, possibly wrong egg color, maybe wrong leg color, lack of muff/beard, etc.) I think the next-best choice would be to look for Easter Eggers that have Dominant white and otherwise look like wanna-be Ameraucanas.

You are probably right. But I needed to hear everything you said, basically how you said it, for it to file into my brain correctly. I have a bird here I'm considering for an Easter egger project. I'm going to do some test hatches once she starts laying. I have no clue what breed she is, but I have an Ermine Ameraucana Rooster to breed her to. I'm pretty sure she is dominant white. She has black leakage barely. But It really is just for fun because they will be super Frankenstein mutts. Lol here is a photo of her.

I band my chicks here and I'm pretty sure she isn't going to lay a blue egg so I will know which egg is the mutt and I have baskets for my Hatcher so I think I've got it all sorted for no mix ups. Lol. She has feathered feet and blue legs. I'm wondering if she is Serama/Cochin? She came to me paired with a black tail Japanese but she definitely isn't that.

I don't know what she is, but definitely interesting with that appearance and that history.

But you might want to check her egg color, just to be sure (maybe put her in a dog crate until she lays one egg. If you don't want her alone, put her in with one other chicken that lays a known-color egg, and wait until you get a different color egg, or two same-color ones in a single day. Either way will tell you what color she lays.)
