Dominique's are common..
Dominique and Barred Rocks are to different breeds (Not from Hatchery Stock)...
Rocks weight 9.5 lbs and the Dominique is 7 lbs. the body type different and even the barring is different Barred Rocks have black clean narrow barring Dominique wider barring and slate to black barring Rocks single comb Dominique's rose comb..
With that said I will say that most hatchery Barred Rocks and Dominique are close to the same...

Bill-
The Grandsons got a pair of Dominque LF from Mike Stichler for their 20 bird county fair "string".

Can you echo my plug for his birds? I find them very hardy, fast growing and early maturing, as good a carcase as you can ask for in a "breed" and really plesant to have around. And they win shows!

I shouldnt have replied but I did. I asked him when they went exstinct, and if he even owned chickens. I also asked where he learned his wonderful mature nature from.

Ahh, aren't people like that fun?

... Sadly it's how a lot of the world today is, spouting off information they know nothing about and won't allow to be proven wrong

Classy! What, exactly was the ad for? Was he offering some up? And if he was, how is that possible if they are extinct? Ditto, if he was asking for them.
