Dominique cockerel?

This is the one I’m suspicious about.
Rose combs are tricky, but I am betting on pullet. 😊

Below is a rose combed male…he was like 2-3 weeks then.

any thoughts on this? Dominique I purchased about 10 days ago. Straight run. Legs are more yellow than the other 2 chicks

Thanks. I’ll be happy with the outcome no matter what it is. One other thing is the wings on this one are noticeable shorter than the other two chicks
I don't think the wings would help tell the gender, but by the size of the white head spot and the amount of black on the legs I would think its a pullet.

Last year I had a hell of a time identifying the pullets in the batch of chicks I received only to find out later that the ones with a larger comb( darker chicks) were barred rocks not dominiques.

After deciding to split an order of pullets (to meet the minimum) me and a friend ordered 10 dominique pullets from Purely Poultry but what they sent was a batch of straight run dominique and barred rocks. Telling them apart was a nightmare ( both light and dark chicks had head spots because they were two different breeds)

This video will help anyone with young baby dominique chicks!

I would be pissed. Hopefully the hatchery worked with you to fix it. how Are barred rocks compared to Dom’s? Never had any experience with them
