I would be pissed. Hopefully the hatchery worked with you to fix it. how Are barred rocks compared to Dom’s? Never had any experience with them

The two breeds look almost exactly the same, except Barred Rocks have single combs and Dominiques have rose combs.

Predators got his 3 pullets (all barred rocks) before he sent photos so he got the worse end of the deal. His brother kept the rooster I wanted (It was a Dom) He refused to cooperate and send me photos so no refund was issued .He kept what he got. I got a refund for one barred rock hen because I only ended up with one . My barred rock is the loudest hen of all and the friendliest ."Sweet Pea " doesn't mind being picked up but my doms run if I try. Sweet Pea's eggs bigger and darker but my doms out lay her.

The barred rocks have narrower bands of white so they're darker too.The barred rock in this photo is on the right

Doms have higher ,fuller tail feathers.(Fluffy butts) They often have a few feathers that curl over on the tip like a rooster.

I ordered 2 more dom pullets from a different hatchery this year (Ideal). I also ordered 6 delawares so I'll end up with 6 of each breed .Because my barred rocks noisy when she lays I didn't order any like her lol

Just for grins ... this is Toby, my Dom cockerel. He's about 7 mo old in this photo. I quite like him. I also have 4 Dom hens, oops! pullets, sorry, and hope to hatch some out of them later this year. (He is subordinate to an older, bigger young roo.) This was a windy day, hence the ruffled feathers.
