does the leg color have anything to do with the breed? These are all straight combed and barred but some have yellow legs and some white, any ideas?

I've had 'em . Got 'em from an old man down the road, the roo was actually bought as a hen also, but now he's a he. Any ideas on the leg colors or does it matter?

When a yellow legged bird is in laying production the yellow fades away. The yellow comes back after moulting. I bet they are barred rocks. Some are laying and maybe some are not. See what someone else says. Dom's have a different comb than a BR.

the combs are not in question, i am aware that the dominique has only a rose comb, but the leg coloring does that matter with the barred? I'm just trying to see how crossed these guys are , if at all.

Cuckoo Marans have white legs and Barred Rocks have yellow legs - maybe these are a mix? The color pattern isn't right for a cuckoo marans, but maybe they are mixed?

thank you, I only have 1 with white legs, she is my hen who's laying now, the rest are pullets and they all have yellow legs, as well as the roo.

Your pullets legs will start to bleach out when they start laying. The hen that has the white legs will get her yellow legs back when she starts to moult. Thats if she is a true BR.
