Dominique Thread!

Okay, my Dominique's eggs are SO not that brown!! I have 10 Red Stars and one Dom hen, and I can always tell hers apart from the others, cause it is so much lighter, and a skinnier egg...
Plus, I had her by herself all winter before I got the red stars and collected that one egg a day, so I got real used to what they looked like..

My doms lay light brown eggs, some with speckles.

Ps. Anyone interested in my dominique rooster? I love him but my DW does not. He's so pretty and very sweet, to me anyway.

They are doing so well! One had pasty butt today but luckily I picked them all up and noticed.
Three of the babies are pure dom, one is a cross with mama hen, a columbian wyandotte, I think anyway.

Thanks, if he calms down, we'd love to keep him. Just learned that one of our young pullets is a roo, so far two roos are getting along well.
We'll see.
The flock of 7 just started traveling together, and one young hen has just started laying, so he's running after her now.

He's so pretty, and the chicks are so cute!! I wish I could take him, but of course we already have too many roosters. Hope he calms down for you!!!
