It is me Clucky on a new account.
She WAS a pretty bird. A hawk killed her about a month ago. I hatched her eggs though. Now I have some babies! 2 to be exact.

Well, it seems my store bought egg experiment was a failure. **Sighs sadly** The upside is that I have some local eggs being delivered to me on Sunday morning that are for hatching, so I'm pretty stoked at that! Ordered 12 hatching eggs and 10 dozen eating eggs. I'm gonna be up to my eyeballs in quail eggs for a while, LOL!

Color me annoyed. I have a cage that is a week late and a set of feeders that is even later. Waiting for shipping blows. I knew I shoulda bought some items from Amazon! Aaaaarrrrrg!

Started my second round of quail eggs! Lied to my mom about them, as.. well, she's a bit of a control freak at times and will throw a fit if I even hatch two babies. I'm 46 and you'd think I could control my own life! Sighs. Love her though. She worries about me.

So yeah. Quail eggs. Got seven in the incubator as I type

Well, my Pineapple green cheek conure hen, Tsunami, is sick. I dunno if it's stress from laying or what, but I can't get her to the vet until Friday and I fear she won't survive until then . I'm keeping an eye on her. I'll be surprised if she survives until this afternoon. No emergency vets can take her, either, because they're only equipped to handle cats and dogs. Ugh @ being in a small city!

Working on a new painting. This time of an eagle's head

1) Tsunami, my conure hen, is fine. Just was laying an egg. BUt she looked so off! Gave her some water and calcium and she's a completely different bird yesterday today!

2) My painting is on hold until **I** feel better. Overall feeling tired this week and hard to get any energy to do anything but feed the critters and sleep. I've not even played my recorder this week... well, 6 out of 7 days this week

3) I've not candled my quail eggs. Gonna do that Monday. They start hatching next weekend if I'm lucky!
