Have you ever played the game where every time you think about the game you lose it?

That reminds me of a funny story.
A long time ago in India or someplace in that area (I forget exactly where), there was a guy going around the country pretending to show people how to make gold. He said if they paid him a certain amount of money he would tell them how to do it themselves. First he would get a bucket or some container of water, then he’d drop a couple of pebbles in, then he would stir the water for a while and then pull some gold nuggets out of the water that he’d had hidden in his hand before. It fooled people every time. The catch was though, that it wouldn’t work if you thought about the red-faced monkey while you were stirring. From then on, it was impossible for anyone who had heard what he told them to do it, because they thought about the red-faced monkey because they were NOT supposed to think about the red-faced monkey!!
