Well, there's different ways to start out.

Breeding mixes is like the easiest start.

Pure breeding can be abit tricky if you're breeding for show. Because it requires culling those with major flaws. There's also Line Breeding that goes along with it.

You can always do pure breeding without wanting to show though. Just take birds of the same breed, & breed them together.

It’s so cool, that you can do that! I get super attached to my birds though. Maybe if I had a different set up, with breeding pens. Anyways, thats cool!

Just a tip: Culling doesn't always mean kill, it just means to remove from the Genepool.
