Donating to Contests?

Okay this is going to be such a dumb question, but how do you go about donating to official contests?

I'd love to give a small runner up prize for the contests with prizes / sponsor a membership. I'm just not sure how to go about it.

I was also wondering if self-run contests are allowed to have prizes? Like those in the online poultry show board. I've never seen one with prizes but I don't really look, either, oops.

I think many of the official contests here (there are many unofficial ones) if a prize is offered it may be a t shirt, coffee mug or platinum membership something that is sold on their store page, sometimes a unique item but usually something they carry already.
