That...that just ain't right.... it almost looks like some forms of mange or skin issue that causes thickening. I'd like to see a skeleton of one.

I have mixed feelings too, but my Cochin rooster always had humongous toes and a ankles almost like that with no apparent reason, or to any ill-effect.

Really cool birds, but unfortunately last I checked, they are illegal to export from the country

I kind of figured there were reasons they weren't available in the US. Besides that, it's just not profitable to care for a meat bird for that amount of time!
