Silly question...normally my three hens just drop their eggs wherever they feel like it out near our pond. We only have the hens...no drake thanks to the neighbors dog.

Anyhow, the one hen has made herself the cutest little nest up near our central air conditioning unit and is slowly filling it with eggs.

Will she try to set them? Should I take the eggs? Doesnt she know that they will never hatch?

Thanks!

If you have no drake then collect the fresh ones. else you are going to have a stinky bomb. I have to judge the fertile from the infertile when my girl lays. So i know what to let her keep and what goes in the fridge.

Yikes!

I feel so bad for her...all of that work.

Just posted on the 'wanted' page for a drake for them.

On my way to prevent stink bombs....
