The vast majority of hatcheries have Easter Eggers that they pass off as Ameraucana. The easiest way to tell if you are getting Ameraucana or misrepresented Easter Eggers is if a color/variety is specified. Ameraucana always have a color or variety specified. The good news is that Easter Eggers tend to be better layers than Ameraucana.
