I picked up some hens and one of them has a sack of watery stuff under her neck. When we started looking at her she has a wound that is healed. So I'm wondering if this could be an infection if so what do I do about it.

Yes,this is her crop. Check her crop after eating, should be full, check again in the morning before eating, should be empty. Compare her crop to the crop on your other chickens. If crop does not empty or stays watery, there may be a problem. I am curious about healed wound on crop,if possible ask person whom you purchased hen from if any surgery has been done on her for impacted crop.I picked up some hens and one of them has a sack of watery stuff under her neck. X2. A pic would be great, definitely need more info. Might be the crop or may be an issue with a wound. Is the area hot, red, inflamed looking? Is the bird active, eating/drinking or is she lethargic? If this is an old wound that has closed over and abscessed the bird would most likely not be feeling well at all.Pictures always help with identification.
