Don't Leave your backdoor open when the girls are free-ranging.

The dog's face clearly says, "Remind me why these things are in here? And when they're leaving?" :gigI remember when my chickens came inside the house, they had a good time but we herded them out. We have a fence keeping them away from the back door. But sometimes the bantam decides to squeeze under it then stand up, opening the gate and letting them onto the patio, and, if the backdoor is open, into the house. They're getting too smart for us. Put bricks underneath the crack? Nope! Take advantage of the wind... I think they win. :clap:barnie

So true!! Trying to get in the house alone when my goats are out is a reverse Houdini skill that I haven't yet mastered, although I'd say I have an 89% success rate which isn't half bad...
