Dont like mice!!

My SLWyandotte was running around the other day with all the other girls after her and I thought she had a worm in her mouth. Upon closer investigation it was the back end of a mouse. The front end was in her mouth. I don't know if she swallowed it or not but I wonder if that egg I got the next day was made from....eww!

Ewww! I hated eggs as a kid! I got used to them as an adult but lately I am finding I really don't like eating them because I know where chicks come from! I wont eat a fertile egg! But I eat mine cuz I know what mine are fed! I know I am weird! I am trying to get over it in my head! As well as raising our own meat birds! DH told me to wait an see how many Roos we get and he will let me know how many meat birds to order! I told him all my birds that came from shipped eggs are off limits!

How do you all tell your chickens apart? Is each new batch in their own seperate coop and run? It was easy to tell my girls apart when they were little. But they are almost a year old now, and its very hard. I thought about putting colored bands on their ankles but wondered if the girls would attack each other's ankles. Please help. Going to get new babies soon. Everyone is named. I hate to be calling Molly, Dolly, when she's really Polly. LOL
