Don't spoil your rooster

I've recently come to the conclusion that the reason my rooster crows so much is that he knows it will get more goodies for his hens. I go out almost every day to give them mixed birdseed or greens. I'm going to stop doing that because when it's gone, he wants more brought out all day. He ain'ta gonna get nuthin for a wile now. Gonna see if it shuts 'im up.

Joe it won't work. I tried. My roo hollers every single time he sees me and doesn't stop until I am in the house again. No treats for 2 weeks - didn't help at all. I gave up and threw a ton of grapes at them today

Probably not! I stand there sometimes and wonder if the fool will ever wear out his vocal cords. He starts wheezing after about 20 minutes of hollering at me.
