Don't usually "Impulse buy".... but

When I got my Dyson and used it for the first time I was truly shocked at how much stuff it sucked up out of the carpet. I vacuum daily as I have 5 large house dogs and a long coated manx. I thought my carpet was reasonably clean till I used that Dyson. I filled the canister the first time and then had to fill and empty it 4 more times before stuff quit coming off thr carpet. After I got done the carpets almost looked like they had been shampooed. I use it daily still and I still get a canister full everyday no matter how clean the carpets looks. The Dyson is a seriously good vaccum.

I just looked because I wondered about the lifetime warranty bit, being a Dyson owner myself. The refurbs come with a six month warranty. New ones come with a five year warranty, and a lifetime warranty on the filter only. Still a good warranty, and a well made product. Haven't had to use the warranty yet!

Dyson- Animal "Purple" is the best machine I've ever used. Mine is about five years old and still awesome. I hear the new generation machines are even better. I have house dogs, cats, parrots...and three human males. The "Animal" is the best investment I've ever made.

I was able to find an older but hardly used Dyson & Kenmore Elite for $50 on craigslist. It's disgusting to see how well it works. Kind of like a trainwreck. I had to replace the clutch a little over a year ago. Purchased the part online, followed some online instructions I found and was done it about 45 minutes. The two repairmen near us wanted at least $100 just to look at it, not including the part or guarantee they could fix it. Saved a good chunk of change fixing it myself.
