There is a major size difference between adult cougar tracks (3 1/2" to 5" wide) and adult bobcat tracks ( 1 1/2" wide).

Umm yeah…..we took pics of some “big cat” tracks on 12 mile island several years back and everyone said we were NUTS! Turns out that around that time some killed an exotic leopard in the town adjacent to the shoreline!!!! Pretty sure it escaped from that big cat farm in that town that’s run by accomplice of tiger king but media won’t mention that

We hear cougar screams all the time. Coyotes more than anything. I don't think there's too much of a difference between east and north Texas, you probably have cougars out there too. I swear I've been stalked a couple times in our woods.

We have a cougar here. My husband saw it just last week. This is where the three s's could come in handy.

I think he did mean that but attempted to be funny and changed what he meant in a later post.

Sometimes I get super carried away on this forum and have to somehow get back into the chicken mindset.

Yeah it’s all state to state regs and difficult to keep up with it all!!!! And in our area you don’t always know cuz we have that Canadian lynx bobcat and mountain lion and several hybrids thereof!!!!

My canon shoots...maybe not effective in a life or death struggle with a cougar though
