Okay, y'all, top this! Ground hog blizzard 2011or2012 in Illinois right before we retired.

We were snowed in for two days before a crew of snow plows, end loaders and bucket loaders came to the rescue. Snow drifts were 6+ feet tall.

My mother is from Rockford. She talks about stuff like this all the time.

Makes me that much more happy that I was born here.

50 is cold.

50 is chilly, not cold. Hoodie weather, that's about it. I don't break out the winter coat until it gets to be 35, even then, I just wear a light jacket over a sweater or hoodie. To double up on my three layer coat means it's really cold. Sigh, it's coming

And I don't care how used to it you are, 90 is hot and 30 is cold. To live in a place that can get to 100(been awhile but it's happened) and below 0, well, THAT'S being a nutter!! I'm a nutter!

That’s when I go to 8-9 layers, rap myself up in ten blankets and two comforters, bring the dogs to bed, sit with a few hot drinks and snacks, and enjoy some BYC and chill.
I will also randomly hug/cuddle up to people if its that cold.
