I frigging forgot to start the Fitbit until 5 mins in. Was approximately 5 miles.

Sorry but I rolled when someone posted a pic of their truck and the hood was mostly covered with what we call a dusting.

Hey now, Snovid was real af. It was -9 degrees. With no propane and no water. I have never seen that much snow in Texas in my life. Colorado and New Mexico, yes. Texas, no. There are trees that still haven't recovered because Live Oaks don't like being buried under three feet of snow. It was beautiful. But seeing whole lakes and stuff actually frozen over was so weird. And all my birds thought it was complete crap. The ones that didn't die of course.

Someday I'm going to do lunges down my driveway all the way to the gate.
I'll have to start from the garage to the road, but I'd like to go from the workshop to the gate, which is about half a mile long.

Oh no. We have to run? lol I hate running. I find cross country to be way easier than running on pavement though. I suppose I'll take all the clothes and decorative pillows off my treadmill when I get home from work...

We went a few WEEKS below 0° up here and all our news talked about was how everyone down there lost their minds.

Yes. Because Texas and it's governor are incompetent at everything but screwing people over to make money. The power grid was completely effed. People were dying because they were bringing propane grills inside to try and keep children warm and either dying from the CO2 or setting their homes on fire. The state was ill-equipped to deal with the roadways. It was days, and days before they "snow plowed" and then they used grading equipment used in construction which worked alright but scraped up all the little shiny city titties between the stripes that they are just now putting back down. The only reason my house had water until they shut it off because a line broke and drained two whole water towers was because we had a basement that kept the pipes from freezing. I was bucketing water out to the birds three times a day. And when we lost power I had candles in the brooders to keep the chicks that were hatching during the first snowfall warm. It was ridiculous. I love snow, but I do not love it when the state's infrastructure can't handle it. I work at a university and the damages from that storm were in the millions. Buildings flooded because water lines burst. It was awful. They are still repairing stuff.
