I highly doubt this was the point of your post, but I also ride horse back. What style did you ride? And what kind of horse did you have?
I ride western and bareback. I’ve also ridden side-saddle bareback before. “My” horse (he’s really my grandpas horse) is a Rocky Mountain Horse.
I had an Appaloosa/Morgan cross and an App/quarter cross and rode western seat. I did some bareback also until the day I was riding up a hill and a huge cock pheasant flew up between my mare's front legs and almost hit her in the chin. She reared and I went off her butt.

I was saddles only from that point on.

I rode through my middle teens to late 20s. Had to sell my girls when my family was forced to move from their country home and move to the nearby city.

Broke my hear. I miss my Billie Bo Checkers to this day. One thing for sure, when you ride horses and take care of them yourself, you stay in shape.

They came from the Appalachia mountains.

Standers are,
Color: any solid colors allowed, but silver dappled is the preferred coloration

Height: 14-16 hands

Distinguishing features: Singlefoot ambling gait
My first horse that I owned was a singlefooter. Could ride that gait all day. I lost her to liver cancer. She holds a special place in my heart as I learned to ride on her.

The first time I got on her back, she dumped me and then nuzzled me like she was saying 'okay, now that we understand one another, get on my back again and we'll be friends.' She never threw me again.

My dad who rode in the US Army Equestrian Show Team prior to WWII just laughed and told me that 'Now, you are a horsewoman. You know what they say about getting back on the horse!' And handed me my reins back.

Just personal preference. Don't like the way they look or move.
I’ve never been a fan of small breeds.

My sister has a tiny Morgan cross.

She’s always asking me “how come you never ride Dandy?”

Well now, where to start?
Because I feel like my feet are going to drag on the ground. I like to mount my horse, not step over them and sit down. And I’ve got about a hundred other reasons as well.

Me and Dandy have never gotten along well anyway.

Haven't really done much exercise today.
I did walk behind a mower for 30 mins though, without self propelled mode.
Ever tried mowing steep banks. I now know what it's like to be a mountain goat. 🐐
Have you done extra yet?

My extra for today is finally doing the gardening that I was prevented from doing last week.
Does this mean you did an extra workout today? Are you playing along? I haven't added you to the sheet yet but I will right now.
