What happened?

Awe, I hope she's okay.

Good luck…I hope it is nothing serious.
My suspicion is that she has a blockage, which severity can range widely depending on the object and where it got lodged. We had cleaned out a chick brooder a few days ago and dumped the chips in the garden and I caught her eating it yesterday. Very rough cut wood chips, like the kind you get from a tree chipping company. She found a box and tore it up, also yesterday. I didn't take the box away because I saw she wasn't eating it, but in hindsight I realize that was a mistake. Even if she wasn't meaning to eat it, she could have easily swallowed some. She's almost a year old, so still a puppy, but when I saw her this morning she was just laying on the floor and didn't want to get up to see me. She's obviously in pain, tail tucked in, whining, doesn't want to move,.trembling. I haven't even seen her use the bathroom. It breaks my heart. She did eat some wet cat food for me, so I'm waiting to see if she throws it up.
I'm so worried about her that I'm doing everything I can to distract myself. I did my workout and now I'm frantically cleaning the kitchen. I'm such a basket case, made even worse by the fact that my husband has a price point for things like this. If treatment is too expensive he will say to put her down.

I'm so sorry to hear that! Don't feel bad about her eating something, dogs do that. Our beagle ate a porch (the railings and floor boards were ripped off and actually consumed), kids toys, bags of clothes, lawnmower pull cords, air-conditioning parts (twice), the wires to our generator, sets of keys (he didn't swallow them), he chewed up my phone, pacifiers, shoes (I only have like two complete sets), he actually ate tennis balls so we never gave him dog toys, crayons, pencils, and cords to electric blankets and phones.

We have a price point too. When it came to saving him (he escaped and was shot up like swiss cheese) we ended up breaking the bank. I will be praying for your little girl!

I hope she is ok! :hugs

My extras today…I’ve been climbing up and down the step ladder trying to install the hardware for and hang the new blinds in the kitchen. The house was built in the 1950s and the wood framing on the windows is hard as rock. I had to trim the frame trim to seat the hardware, then pre drill for the screws and then put the screws in with a manual screw driver. Couldn’t use the battery drill because the head was too big for the job.

Now I’m off to the hardware store for a new hall light and a new return air vent cover. The old one is not made any more…the dimensions are 17 x 32…so I’m going to get two 14 x 16 and add floor trim and a center post to cover the opening. Necessity is the mother of invention.
