Right now mostly picked veggies today, I did lots of eggplant heavy pasta sauce, and next I'll be trying canning whole quail for the first time.

I got lucky while going through stuff and organizing I found 3 boxes of lids. I didn't even realize there was a shortage until I tried to order some more jars. I really need some quart jars! I was even eyeballing the ones I have for my chick waterers and feeders 😆 But, I'm not that desperate yet!

I got quite a few lids from Ebay. It was a seller down south that has a sporting goods store and sells online too. I can't remember the username but will look it up if you are interested. I buy wide mouth lids, his price was reasonable at the time
 
And I did extra extra today. It's so nice out that I just had to take the dog to the park and let him run around while I walked. Anyone else hear that it's supposed to be a hard winter? My uncles who run the family farm in PA say it's gonna be bad, they see the signs

Haven’t herd that… my godfather said he read it is suppose to be wet…la Nina winter.

Wide mouth jars, and they're pretty tiny. I hate having to chose which ones to process. I have about 50 right now and I want to get it down to 3 breeding groups of 8, one of each color to over winter. They boys eat at least twice what the girls do and feed is just too expensive right now, I can't afford to wait for spring to chose this year. I'm super happy I have some solider fly larvae going right now, so that should help cut the feed bill soon too.
