Door size?

How big does the doorway into my house from coop need to be? Is 12" x16" tall big enough?

That sounds perfect. I am currently building a new coop myself and am basing the door size on the automatic door opener I plan to purchase. In researching door openers, it seems they vary somewhat in size so I decided to wait to cut out my pop door until I had decided on the model of door opening. Suffice it to say that they were all in that 9x12 neighborhood.
