Unfortunately we can’t have them here because their not good with cold weather.

Really? Well, maybe it depends on the silkie. I've read that since they only have down feathers that they are not good with cold weather.
Down here in NY it's pretty much cold all the time(summer can get a little warm, but not much). Even if we had silkies they would be cold all the time. Wish I had them tho, they are so cute and fluffy!
