Double yokes !

Hi I have 12 red sex links and 4 barred rock I got my first egg 3 weeks ago today I collected 7 eggs I,m on my 4th egg carton full . Not counting what we've eaten. we have eaten a bunch and every one has been a double yoke. Is this common with these breeds ?

Double yolks can be pretty common when they start laying. My 2 sex links have been laying for a couple of months and I'd say nearly 1/2 so far were doubles. Now that they are laying almost every day that number has come down.
