Double yolk egg every other day

I have a Barred Rock hen that lays a double yolk egg every other day. I figure she is new to laying. I bought her just recently and the seller said she was laying-but he didn't say anything about double yolks...

I'm just wondering how long it will take to work this out? It's been a week now that she has been laying these double yolks, and they sure look painful! Don't get me wrong, they are not mis-shapen or irregular, just HUGE.

Any ideas of length of time for this to work itself out?? Thanks

One of my one year old ameracaunas was laying a double yolker off and on all summer last year. I have yet to get one at all since then.

We have B.O. named big Ann that lays a big double yolker, they are huge and sure taste good on the plate!
