This is the craziest!! I've heard it would be super super rare to get a fertile egg from my duck and roo mating. But I not only got that but it was also double yolk!! Now I kind of wanna incubate to see if any hatch! Should I?

Edit to add if this is in the wrong thread feel free to put in the right one!

From what I understand twins are very unlikely to survive hatch so avoid possible double yolkers for incubation.

That would be sooo cool! if they hatch, I wonder what it would look like! Keep us posted on the eggs status!
I definitely will! I was surprised that it was a double bc I've heard ducks usually don't pay double then I saw the blood spot and white spots and I was like whoa!! Lol so my husband instantly said he's getting an incubator to see if anything happens. If not oh well but if so it'll be pretty exciting!

It doesn't look fertile to me, but maybe you are seeing something I cannot??

Double yolks is a reproductive hiccup.. which can become life threatening and are not a bonus in my eyes. Though definitely interesting.

Happy hatching experiments! :jumpy:jumpy

ETA: solid dot is infertile and bulls eye is fertile.
