Double yolked eggs?

My son was asking because we’ve been getting a LOT of these. If they’re fertilized and brooded will they hatch out 2 chicks or will only 1 develop?

Double yolkers can hatch twins, but it's quite rare. Worth a shot, in my opinion!

They may start to grow into chicks, but generally not enough room inside the shell for both of them, and neither will make live chicks.

My son's always thought they were a sign of good luck when they showed up in the frying pan.
