So it’s that time of year where hens wanna be mothers and so we have broody mommas. Well I found a hen in a book and cranny sitting on 4 eggs and one happened to be a double yolker. I was praying she just got em but nope they were at least in day 5. So I came to the conclusion if i toss it it dies and if I put it in the incubator it may have a chance or it may die so either way at least this way I have it a chance. It’s a huge double yolker and I see two chicks inside, tomorrow is lock down so I thought I would share my experiences. I know that kinda a golden rule to incubation but my better nature took the better of me. But they look healthy! Does anyone have any experience with this? This picture was on day 14

Names hmmm, if turned out both cockerels Heckle and Jeckle (aging myself with that cartoon :lau) Pullets Gidget and Bridget.
Dog pictures..our 3 Chihuahuas (Scrappy big chihuahua, black one is Missy Miss, chocolate one is Nicco). All three are Rescue. Scrappy was a pup when we took him in now 4. Next day took him to vet, was told he wouldn't have made it another week.(Had bad case of Gardia). Next came Nicco, he was dumped in a parking lot in California and was brought to Washington. Part of his jaw has been eaten away by infection. He has no teeth so his tongue hangs out all the time. They had estimated him to be 10, so now 12. Missy was given to us by hubby's co-worker a month after getting Nicco. Her Doxie wouldn't accept her, she was 3, will be 5 on the 10th.
Scrappy thinks he is a guard dog. Very protective of the area including the chickens. He watches over them, especially the 10.5 week old chicks (Henny & Penny). He even tries to get the chickens & chicks to try and get his binkie from him. He is use to birds, have a cockatiel (17 years old) & a African Grey Parrot (18 years old).
