so, I think one of our eggs under our broody pullet is a double yolker. I honestly didn’t start Candling until the eggs had been under her for quite a few days so I never noticed two yolks indefinitely. Upon Candling now on day 6/7 it really looks to me as though egg #2 has two embryos very much alive. If this IS the case egg #2 isn’t by any means a large egg. I never would have guessed it had two yolks based on its size as I typically get bigger shells with double yolkers. Anything I can/should do? What’s the likelilyhood these chicks will both survive? How do I prepare? I know someone just had a successful double yolker hatch so it’s definitely possible! Just need lots of advice - this is both mine and my pullets first time hatching chicks — let alone two!

At which point will I know for sure if there are two? I can try to take a video tomorrow and see if you guys can actually see it as well

Thanks!

If they do hatch they can have deformity's but i have cases were they both die in the egg or were one eats/absorbs (?) the other. keep this thread posted!
