I had a hen who almost always laid double and ever triple yolks all last summer, and she actually had one quadruple yolker and before she laid it she went two day without laying. Then she stopped suddenly and I don't know why?

Her laying track finally stabilized? Double yolks and weird eggs are most common with new layers, but they usually settle down in a month or so.

Yeah I'm assuming sense that happened in her first year of laying and only her first year and I guess you're right. It must have stabilized.
