Double Yolks

I've had chickens for about 3 years. I added 3 more to my flock earlier this year to bring my total to 8 hens. 2 of my new ones are laying really small eggs. Occasionally one of them will lay a normal size egg but then it’s a double yolk. None of my other hens have ever laid small eggs for any length of time. I’ve only ever have 1 double yolk before. Is this a breed specific issue? I don’t know which one it is for sure but it’s either the brown Brahma or Dominique. Thoughts?

No, it's not a breed specific issue. I had a pullet about a month ago that was a new layer that would also do like your's is doing. Now she is laying normal egg's and they are starting to get bigger.
