Dove owners -- turtle doves or diamond doves, which would you choose?

I had turtle doves as a teenager and really enjoyed them. My idiot father made me give them away when I went to college.

Well, at 45, I guess I'm old enough to do as I please, so I would like to get a pair of doves again. I have a really nice, large cage that I think would be perfect and a good place in the house for it with nice lighting and away from drafts.



Considering either regular turtle doves or the diamond doves, which are really beautiful little birds? If you were in my position, which would you choose as household pets and why?

Hands down,the turtle doves.Beautiful birds.Better looking than the Diamonds in my opinion.

Well... I dont like the ringnecks at ALL (Thats what you mean by turtle doves right?) I love my Diamond doves and I also like my Asian Dwarf Turtle doves that are very neat. They sound like a dog barking!
