Downfall of having children with chickens.

So my daughters favorite chicken(her silkie)
Died last night. I am guessing got trampled or got into a fight I dont know.

So of course mom guilt comes into play.
I cant let her be sad about a chicken.
So what do we do?
We went to tractor supply and planned on only buying 2

But low and behold tsc says rules are 6 minimum.

So crap.

Now I only planned on getting 2 turned into 6.

So we got 3 buff orps.
And 3 silver laced wyandotte chicks

NO MORE CHICKENS I swear

Now I had 38 baby chickens. Now that turned into minus 1 but add 6. Chicken math.
My husband's like no more chickens amber I'm cracking up bc I have an addiction called chicken math

Yeah thank god I got one of those buffs bc it had pastey butt SO BAD like a rock stuck to it so thick. Hope it survives

I'll be checking on it periodically.
My oldest had such a heart for animals she liked my chicken math skills.

My girls are 7 and 5. They love getting the eggs.
And of course love watching and naming the chickens we keep.
They dont like that we have to eat the roosters though
